A NOTE TO THE STUDENT: How You will be Tested on Safety

Because the instructor of the Machine Shop classes cares about your safety and the safety of everyone in the class, he wants to make sure that you know the rules of safety. When you go to the machine shop classes you will be taught many things about safety, you will watch demonstrations about how to operate machines in a safe manner, you will be asked to demonstrate safety procedures, and you will be required to take a written safety test, and pass it with a score of 100%. There is no room for mistakes with safety – that’s why you need 100%.

When you pass the real test, you will be allowed to use the machines in the machine shop. It may demonstrate to other people that you are a safe worker and that you are not careless in the machine shop.

Here is a 30-question SAFETY TEST for you to try. It is a good practice for the real test which the Machine Shop instructor will give.
