Attribution and Revision Statement

This edition of VESL Basic Blueprint Reading by Lisa Hillyard is licensed under CC-BY 4.0. It was adapted from Ric Costin’s Basic Blueprint Reading which is licensed under CC-BY 4.0 and is an updated version of the originally authored publication by the Department of Engineering and Drafting Technology Department at Linn-Benton Community College, in Albany, Oregon.

The current edition includes unit vocabulary tasks embedded with the H5P tool.  Tasks which direct students to draw and sketch were converted into printable document format (pdf) in order for them to be printed on demand. More generally, minor grammar and spelling errors were corrected throughout.

The title abbreviation of VESL refers to Vocational English to Speakers of other Languages.
